About the Information Systems Department
The Department is a repository of information, receiving and making information available for the Agency’s operations. It employs Information Communication Technology to collate and coordinate relevant health data and information and ensure that data is effectively analysed and utilised to improve the work of health facilities to attain good health outcomes. It is responsible for maintaining an accurate and up-to-date database of healthcare facilities and performance. It also liaise with databases such as the MoH data repository being set up, working with the GHS, District Health Information Management Systems (DHIMS) and other relevant databases to ensure that MoH has accurate and comprehensive information on healthcare provision.
