About the Procurement Department

The procurement department is the department bestowed with the full responsibility of acquiring goods, works and/or services on behalf of the agency at the right price, right quality, right quantity, right time and from the right sources. The procurement department, thus the department has legal obligations to fulfil and vice versa with the principal. The functions cuts across the entire procurement circle spectrum including but not limited to: identification and consolidation of needs/requirements, preparation of tender/quotation notices, conducting of market survey, bid preparation, receiving, opening, evaluation, award, contract preparation, monitoring, inspection, acceptance and processing of payments. The department is also responsible for market research, supplier appraisal, supplier development and customer service management.
