About the Operations Department

The functions of the Operations Department include registration, inspection, licensing and monitoring of all health facilities in Ghana. In performing these duties, the department receives, considers and approves application forms for licensing. The department is responsible for setting and enforcing standards for both public and private health facilities. These standards are periodically reviewed by the department in collaboration with other partners. It also collaborates with relevant departments such as the information systems department to maintain up to date and accurate data on health facilities.  The department also engages strategic partners of the Agency in health care regulations in the interest of all persons living in Ghana.
