Overview

The Administration and Human Resources Department at HeFRA serves as the backbone of the agency’s internal operations. It ensures that the organization operates efficiently, ethically, and in compliance with national regulatory standards. This department is responsible for managing personnel, overseeing administrative systems, and fostering a productive work environment that supports HeFRA’s mission to regulate health facilities across Ghana.

  • Units

The department is structured into specialized units, each playing a vital role in supporting HeFRA’s mandate:

  • Administration Unit

Handles general office management, correspondence, record keeping, logistics coordination, and administrative support across all departments.

  • Human Resource Unit

Oversees recruitment, onboarding, staff welfare, performance management, and training programs to build a capable and motivated workforce.

  • Transport Unit

Coordinates vehicle scheduling, maintenance, and driver management to ensure safe and efficient mobility for agency operations.

  • Estate Unit

Responsible for facility management, office space allocation, maintenance of physical assets, and ensuring a safe working environment.

  • Procurement Unit

Facilitates the acquisition of goods and services in accordance with public procurement laws. Ensures transparency, value for money, and timely delivery of resources needed for operational efficiency.

  • Stores Unit

Manages inventory, storage, and distribution of supplies and equipment. Maintains accurate records of stock levels and ensures proper handling and accountability of agency assets.

Information Technology

Manages HeFRA’s digital infrastructure, including systems administration, data analytics, cybersecurity, website maintenance, and user support services.

The Unit is mandated to handle scheduling of facilities for inspection on HeFRA’s standardized Tablets, Training of assessors, training of facilities on the efficient utilization of the Mobile Online Information System (MOIS).
